Did you like our shorts or jean cut dress pants?

Well, we made jeans in the same pattern as our dress pants...a bit backward, but here they are. They have the same great fit as the button shorts (Just a drop tighter at the waist since denim gives more as you wear them).
Boot cut. Two weights - heavier and lighter. We can send you a fabric swatch s-xl $138
summer carnival parade - 60's theme

We decided to make a float...well, a wagon really, the night before...the 1960's board game "Mystery Date" (Your sister probably had one. You either got to date the surfer, the nerd, the guy in the tux etc). Our summer neighbor Matt painted the wood (Our cutting table top! We were pressed for time), Bobby (Wearing Mitch's toupee here) and I attached some 2 by 4's and some wheels (My sister Allison went to the hardware store 15 times....we have no short term memory), then we tricked Bob, Travis, Dana, Max and others (Mitch rode on the back) to drag the 900 pound rickety thing all the way down Commercial street on the HOTTEST day of the summer (We never really thought it would make it to Pearl Street without falling apart...) I watched from a second floor window...sorry guys.
Send us your Carnival pics!
bringing back some old favorites...

I was wearing the "city safari" shirt(It fits an ipod. How many of us really trap lions on the weekend?) in town one day and got lots of nice comments from strangers so I thought why not? This time the city safari is in classic blue oxford, khaki and a slate blue. s-xl about $158.
Working on the "split" shirt next. Love this one.

Don't forget to scroll down to the slim shorts, bathing suits etc.... farther down the page...we will be carrying year round here...and at some resorts! Remember that if you are going on a vacation!
Here is a pic...sent by some renters who stayed upstairs from the shop...who shall remain nameless (Let's not get anyone into trouble)...parties have been known to just happen on that deck...great photo though...reminds me of summer!

new home and pet accessories
Finishing up new pillowcases with grosgrain ribbon trim. We call them "Guest Room Pillowcases" because they are too nice to actually use! Also my sister got a new puppy named "Bongo". We made a leash for him and people liked it...Then a hanky(Which people are wearing too). The hankies are in orange, navy and red and cost just $10. The rest will be put on soon.
This guy is back...
Quick dry brown or black bond swim shorts

We wanted a good looking short you could swim in ...and then put on a nice polo and go right to dinner.... Quickly dries in seconds. The black ones are a more matte fabric...the brown have a nice sheen....Same cut as our linen slim short last year...just with out the give of linen...so size up if you think you need a little more room. S-xl $98 no shipping
swim available all year for your vacations!
Tim also wears the white cotton voile shirt.
Mitch is a proud American...well... tramp

This character came to town to have some fun. He got a lot of hits on his manhhunt profile, but we haven't opened any of them...not till we are sure people know all about him...The next ad we got some great comments on. For years we have been saying " check your labels" if you have an option to buy American (We have always printed our tees on American Apparel tees, used local seamers and American fabrics) then do it. It more important than ever now!
New button shirt fabrics!

Same cut. Same collar. Same double shell buttons on the cuff. No questions if you already have one. Limited so we can save you one if you like. s-xl $128-$168. No shipping.
A blue/ grey...white sheer cotton voile...finally the black voile!...a new powder and white party shirt with the silver lurex stripe...a khaki with the city safari pocket detail...we are also doing this safari style in two shades of blue oxford...one we are calling the "Ultimate white shirt"...simple and so soft...then due to popular demand we are bringing back the pink and the blue check from the previous season. People want this to be one of our "basics"...so we listened!
Want to live near us?
Madras shorts!
People told us we were right on "target" as madras was big this year. Well, I guess Cape Cod has been "in" for ever... It's a staple here, but I think the ones we found are the happier than most (Some can be so muddy in color). Drawstring..in different lengths. $64
I will add close up swatches this week.
"relax" tee!

TOP CHEF UPDATE
What was that about???... .Our Patrick was second to go on the show....Over some noodles? He was a great asset and definately the one to root for!!! Thanks for all the comments about how well he handled himself...yes, he certainly has a bright future. I will forward all the emails to him.
(coffeymen@aol.com)
(Here is a picture I took of him when he visited a few weeks ago. I told him to "Jump the Shark"..joking I am sure he would ruin the show...little did I know "They" would jump the shark by not keeping him on longer.

Root for our friend on TOP CHEF!!!
+
Our friend and coworker Patrick Dunlea (Who is still just a student by the way) was chosen to be on the new Top Chef episodes this fall. We have no idea how he did, and frankly, we are not pressing him to know how he did...we don't want to know....we need an excuse for a viewing partys!
Good luck Patrick!
(Patrick is the one doing the backflip on the commercial. You might recognize him from the shop where he worked one summer. He is in some ads further down the blog...one this year with the golf ball in his mouth...the other in the "Boys of summer section" in the alley waiting for his ...date to arrive) If you want to wish him well, email us and I will forward it to him!

"Wild, Wild West"- Provincetown Carnival Theme
Bond polos...this time in long sleeve

Glad you all liked these this summer! We have three new colors in long sleeve for this season. A very limited apple green, a great charcoal and a super soft chocolate(For those of you who got the super soft pink short sleeve pond polo- this is the same fabric).
Split at the neckline and bottom (At belt line). A great twist on a basic polo. All cotton and french terry. s-xl $128
for more detail...here Lawrence is wearing the short sleeve bond polo ($98) in black with a tee and jeans.
Empire shirt

The white basically sold out fast...then we had this fabric dyed (Locally) for fall in a great blue and chocolate. Especially flattering because the cotton ribbing goes horizontally across the chest and vertically across the stomach. Great if you are a bit stocky/muscular or very FAT like Richard(Shown here).
s-xl Blue and brown $88
car coats
drawstring pants...for fall

Can't do without these.
(For those of you who asked we WILL definitely bringing them back in new spring linen and seersucker).
The fabrics shown here are great and very different from each other. We like the drawstring pants best with a polo or sweater...even under a blazer.
Brown plaid (With faint powder blue stripe) in wool and silk $148
Black and White stretch in cotton $138
Tan triple stripe and black in a great blend $138
Tropical weight wool in charcoal with pinstripe $148
Lower rise...fitted back looks great when you are walking away.
sheer cotton voile

Love this shirt...it will be our new basic...here in white and powder blue voile. Sheer but very wearable. Very sexy alone or with a tank. Put it with boring khakis or a great pair of jeans. Great way to sex up a flannel navy or charcoal suit. s- xl $168
Think about it under a vest too...like our ribbed Timmy J. $138 (Seen here on Lawrence, who is new to town and will be working with us this winter!).

The samples looked great on everyone (We force people to try them on during this process...even if it is 95 degrees...sorry!)

Pink- super soft cotton, Navy- french terry (Really soft), Black - a drop heavier cotton blend, Powder- a slight ribbing to the cotton, white- a slighty heavier cotton with stretch ALL $98 (No shipping)

THE BOYS OF SUMMER

Thanks to all of you who still ask about they guys and girls we have been lucky enough to work with the past few years. I am happy to say they are all doing so well. David (Year one) Richard (Who is working on a new project of his own to launch in June) are back this summer. Rob, Dallas, Patrick, Adrian, Justin will be back, but only for a visit. We will have some new faces including Liz and Davis. Feel free to send me any messages for them to coffeymen@gmail.com and I will be sure to forward them for you.
BRINGING BACK THE FOOTBALL SUIT!

Same suit as pictured in our ad from last year. This year we are adding black and white football pant fabric to the navy. They come with a removable grosgrain ribbon belt. Change it out with another belt, a piece of twine or if your a show-offs... a western belt for this years' "Wild, Wild West" Carnival parade.
black, white, navy $78
Return of the BOND POLO

We love this shirt. We tried out just a few dozen last summer and we were once again surprised to find you liked them! Our summer versions are streaming in now.
We have a brown and grey heavier knit. There will be a black (A little dressier weight) powder rib and pink, white or navy french terry.
Based on our basic shirt fit, s-xl, $118 to $148.
NEW THAT WE ARE WORKING ON
A new, knee length slim SWIM SUIT with grosgrain ribbon belts
A new item "CONVERSION PANTS". They are black drawstring pants made of quick dry swim fabric. That way you can roll them up, go kayaking, wading, boating and then just roll down the cuffs and go to The Red Inn for dinner!
Brown and Grey overnight bags.
We also want to get a lot of fall things like our CAR COATS and "SUITING "JEANS in stock this summer for when you visit. We will hide those in back though so you don't have to think about it.
We are always working on NEW SO CHECK BACK TO THIS BLOG OFTEN!

BUTTON SHIRTS

We haven't changed the body of this year's button shirts, but we changed the collar a drop. Just a little smaller, and we are also adding shell buttons. We have lots of our basic super-lite and textured shirts in stock (Email me if you would like some swatches sent). The next batch due in at the end of June will include black, white and powder cotton voile, crinkle cotton (Pictured here on my nephew Russell) in white and we are having some dyed powder blue this year. Lots of light blue and navy this time.
(People sometimes ask me about the painting he is holding, I got that a few years ago because it reminded me of him when he was a kiddy at the beach)
The "TIMMY J." vest

This vest (Which will also be a long sleeve shirt in the fall) is great over one of our lightweight button shirts...or wear it alone as a muscle tank for hitting the town.
It's based on my giant nephew Timothy's (Pictured in the sample) rugby team(They call him Timmy J.) shirt. We decided to do it in ribbed fabrics. The rib will go down on the body and across on the stripe. We lowered the neck a bit since I took this photo on a trip to NYC.
This does great things for the shoulder line.
Coming in JUNE in black, cream and white.
It will be in white, black or cream thick rib and should be in shop in JUNE!
Our new "EMPIRE SHIRT"

This is a great shirt that will arrive in JUNE. Our first batch is being done in ribbed and flat cotton in white, black, robin's egg and powder blue (I couldn't find the colors I liked so we are having them garment dyed up the cape a bit).
The great thing about this shirt is the stripes go horizontally across the chest and the vertically over the stomach, so it's flattering! We did a lot of versions of the neckline too. We like this one the best.
We will be doing heavier fabric for fall too...but let's not think about that right now!
Always find time for a "HAPPY HOUR"
remember to "RELAX" tee
NEW - KITTY TEE

I hope we don't get in trouble for this one! My family always liked what Kitty Carlisle-Hart stood for so we wanted to do a little tribute to her. When asked how at 96 years old she did all her charity work, still performed, showed up to every party and still looked as beautiful as she did 40 years earlier she said " Every night before I go to bed I look in the mirror and say Kitty...I forgive you".
It was suggested that we reverse it so you could read in the mirror as you get ready for bed. Try it sometime.
sorry! sold out.
The "GATES" Provincetown
slim shorts
shorts!

We redid last year's linen slim shorts for those that didn't get their sizes. Our next batch will be the same cut, just in supper lightweight shirting fabric for those really hot days of July and August.
shorts:
mint, yellow, orange, brown, natural, powder, grey, cream
with tortise button
all $98, small through xl, no shipping cost!
